THE CUPS OF LOVE
The Cups of Love ("Coppe Amatorie"), medium size majolica bowls, during the Italian Renaissance were made to be donated as engagement present to the most beautiful girls. The breaking of the bowl was symptom that the wedding didn't have to be celebrated. All the symbols and the scenes painted on the bowls reproduce classic miths and legends related to the matrimonial life
